Australian Dust Control
installs Reverse Pulse Dust Collector at Weir Minerals’ Shop
Australian Dust Control has an ideal client base
with Weir Minerals being one of their recent additions. Weir Minerals
employed the services of Australian Dust Control to design, supply
and install a Reverse Pulse Dust Collector system.
The existing Shaker Dust Collector system they
were using was inadequate for their needs. Australian Dust Control
custom designed a Reverse Pulse Dust Collector system with a 30
kw fan to do the job.
This new Reverse Pulse Dust Collector was installed
at Weir Minerals’ Artarmon Pattern Shop.
There, they produce timber patterns for the moulds
to make polypropylene slurry pump liners for the mining industry.
They required Australian Dust Control to design
a larger dust collector system which would remove the sanding dust
and shavings produced in the manufacturing process.
The Reverse Pulse Dust Collector design provided
the customer with standard suction inlets to woodworking machinery
plus connections to 5 only articulated arms with an operating radius
of 4 metres to be used on a hand sanding application.
Unique to Australian Dust Control is the Variable
Speed Drive which is an energy saving device.
The customer chose to have this Variable Speed
Drive fitted as an additional option which has potential energy
bill savings of up to 50%.
Many customers of Australian Dust Control are
choosing to have this energy saving device fitted.
